If you have ever worked in a phone center taking calls, you know that some calls are better than others, some days are better than other days, and sometime a week just sucks the life right out of you. Well, this was one of those rough weeks. It was so bad that the only real exercise I actually did this week was a couple of 45 minute bike rides during a couple of my lunch breaks. I've also fallen in love with Chronic Taco's Beer battered fish burrito, which obviously is not the healthiest lunch.
My only saving grace is that I only have 4 and a half hours before I leave Boise for McCall. Tomorrow I will be riding in a 126 mile charity ride for Multiple Sclerosis. I was able to raise more than $550! GO TEAM! This will be my first long ride. Day one (Saturday) will be about 75 miles and Sunday will be the rest. I'll be riding Magnus.
He's the bike that I spent the last 2 years building. So far the fastest I've had him was 47 mph (downhill) along the highway next to Lucky Peak reservoir. I digress....
I'm really excited for the ride. I'll definitely put up some pictures. There will be rest stops every 10-12 miles so I'm not really worried. My co-worker Ginnie will be riding my wife's bike so both of the bikes that I built will get some real mileage this weekend. If you'd like to support me or learn more about the race click HERE.
