Feel Good Inc.

Last night about 10:30 I realized that my training wasn't going as fast as I'd hoped. It was the end of the day, I was tired and in order to jump start my training mojo, I needed to do something drastic. I got my bike clothes on and went for a ride. Nothing major just a half hour of fairly intense laps around my block in my quiet little neighborhood. I felt so good after riding. I had motivation and drive again. I ended the night, and when I woke up this morning, I was still motivated. I had some open time so I went for a ride. I rode for 2 and a half hours. My legs were like jelly after but I feel like jelly legs are a badge of honor.

For the first time in a year, my weight is under 250. It was really nice to see 248 today. I'm working hard and loving it. I'm hurting for money now that my contract job is over so I don't think I'll be signing up for any races this year. I can see how a sponsor would come in handy right about now.

My spirits are high and I'm starting to see real results to my weight loss efforts, which is a huge motivational factor. I love my wife for supporting my and my crazy dreams. I love my daughter for being a dream come true. I love my parents for celebrating 37 years together. Life is pretty good right now, except for the job thing.
